contest time!

Tiny buds are appearing on the lilac trees outside my diningroom window, and it reminds me of childhood May Days. I’d pluck lilacs from the yard, place them into some crudely homemade paper-cone basket, hang it on my neighbor’s doorhandle, ring the bell, then dive into a nearby bush to see the surprise on her face.

I guess the promise of Spring puts me in giveaway mode, which is why I’m eager to celebrate the season by sending out some great beauty prizes to my readers and their friends this week.  Consider it my May Day gift to you! Here’s how we’ll do it….

1) Get three friends (who currently DON’T read my blog) to enter the contest by emailing me at hillarythebargainhunter@gmail.com with their name, email, and address. Tell them to be sure to mention YOUR name so I know who referred them.  

2) You enter the contest by emailing me, too. (Again, please include your contact info.)

3) I’ll pick two winners at random–one from the current posse of readers who entered; and then one of that person’s three friends. Both of you will receive beauty gifts in the mail.

The contest will run until Tuesday, May 3rd. I’ll announce the winner here on the Blog the week of May 9th. Good luck, my fellow shopping friends!
